DAWN M. CONDON

MASSENA- Dawn M. Condon, 55, of 122 East Orvis Street, unexpectedly passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Dawn was born December 28, 1962 in Massena, daughter of the late Patrick Condon and Shirley Goodreau. She graduated from Massena High School and Mater Dei with a degree in Social Work.

She worked at the Highland Nursing Home for over ten years before becoming a social worker. She loved to read Stephen King books and bar-b-que. Dawn enjoyed crime shows, time with her family and friends and especially loved her dogs.

Dawn is survived by her life companion of 23 years, Sheila Gladding; seven step children, Brian and Jessica Gladding, Rusty and Marisha Gladding, Matthew Gladding, A.J. Sawinski, Korrina Parrotte, and Cherlyn and Eric Bush, all of Massena; two nieces, Tacy Moniere of Montana, and Crystal Moniere of Massena; four sisters, Georgette and John Davis of Massena; Peggy Derouchie of Massena; Sarah Moniere of Washington; and Michelle Komm of Washington; and one brother, Michael Condon of Whitesboro; along with many grandchildren and great nieces.

Besides her parents, Dawn was predeceased by her sister, Rinda Premo on February 4, 2016; and her twin brother, Don J. Moniere Sr., on October 24, 2017; her nephew Don J. “DJ” Moniere on June 8, 2016; and her great nephew, Jacoby Ryan on July 21, 2005.

Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home Thursday, 4-6:00 PM, where a memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM. Memorial gifts may be made in Dawn’s memory to the Massena SPCA and the American Heart Association.
