LOUISVILLE – Mrs. Carol S. Ashley, 68, of Arena Drive, passed away Tuesday morning, May 1, 2018 at UVM Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital in Plattsburgh.

Carol was born April 30, 1950 in Brasher Falls, the daughter of the late Carlton N. Sr. and Bernice (LaBrake) Smith and attended St. Lawrence Central School.

She is survived by her sisters, Denise Leggue of Winthrop; Kathy and Angus LaMora of Massena; Marlene Smith of Schenectady; her brothers, Patrick and Marty Smith of Canfield, Ohio; Carlton Jr. and Alvina Smith of Monkton, New Brunswick; and Michael and Betty Smith of Norwood; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Bernard Smith and a sister, Darlene Bates.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fort Covington.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
