BELLE S. BEVINS

MASSENA- Belle S. Bevins, 62, of 8 Isabel Street, passed unexpectedly on Monday, July 9, 2018 at her home.

Belle was born on October 28, 1955 in Massena, daughter of the late Homer and Addie Mae Donaldson Kelley. She attended Massena Schools and on February 15, 1973 she married Norman Bevins at the United Methodist Church in Massena.

Belle was a homemaker, taking great pride in raising her family. She enjoyed NASCAR, football, hockey, and following her beloved Yankees. She loved camping and bonfires, but most of all, spending time with friends and family and enjoying life.

Belle is survived by her husband, Norman; her children, Danielle Bevins and her significant other, Carisa Barse of Massena; and Norman “Duffer” Bevins of New Hampshire; her step children, Norman Bevins Jr., of Burlington, VT; and Darwin and Sue Bevins of Alburg, VT; one grandson, Kai; her nieces and nephews, Kayla, Brittany, Novette, Cody, Jesse, Dustin, Tabitha, Jesse Jr., Micker, Jimmy, Lisa and Jason; and her beloved dog, Gwanbaby Willie.

She is also survived by her sister, Vicky Lynn Sumner of Vermont; her brother, Danny Kelley and his companion Lynn Aldridge of Massena; her sister-in-law, Reva Kelley of Massena; her best friends, Chrissy and Josh LaCombe; and her sidekick, Teri Chapin.

Belle was predeceased by two sons, Clifton Bevins in infancy; and Paul T. Bevins on January 17, 2014; and two brothers, Patrick Kelley on January 23, 2013, and Edward J. Kelley on August 14, 2003.

Friends may call at the Donaldson Funeral Home Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Cremation will follow, and burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Belle’s memory to the SPCA.
