NORWOOD – Timothy A. Brown, 67, of Cottage Street, passed away Friday afternoon, April 12, 2019 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Tim was born August 4, 1951 in Massena, the son of the late Bernard and Doris M. (Daggett) Brown. He was a 1971 graduate of Massena High School and later took courses at Canton ATC. On September 4, 1971, he married Peggy L. Cutler in Massena.
Tim worked for a time for the Village of Massena in the Recreation Department and more recently worked for Tri-Lakes Home Medical. He was former member of Massena Rescue Squad and the Norwood Fire Department, having been the driver during for the Firematics Team. As an avid bowler, he was active with the Potsdam Men’s Bowling League for many years and was the president of the Seaway Valley Trailblazers football team. Tim enjoyed his morning visits at the Maple Street Stewart Coffee Club and loved being outdoors, whether it was golfing, hunting, fishing, or helping his neighbors and friends mow their lawns or plow their driveways, he just loved being outside.
Tim is survived by his wife of over 47 years, Peggy; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jessica Brown of Potsdam; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Corey, Emily, and Josephine; his chosen grandchildren, Alex, Leah, Brent, and Tasha; his nieces, Shauna French and her children, Trinity, Nathaniel, and Brycen and Crystal McDonald and her children, Linda, Olivia, and Merida; and many additional nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Richard LaComb; his brother, Ricky Brown; and his sister, Vicky Brown.
A celebration of his life will be held on April 27th from 2-4:00 PM at the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam.
