Obituary

POTSDAM – Donna Mae (Wilson) Thomas, 57, of Curtis Road unexpectedly passed away Sunday morning, May 12, 2019 at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh.

Donna was born May 8, 1962 in Denver, Colorado the daughter of Louie James Wilson and the late Shirley Marie (Jandreau) Scholl and was a graduate of Potsdam High School.

Donna lived Kansas for many years, where she was the manager of the Subway in WaKeeney for 11 years. She enjoyed traveling throughout the West, greatly enjoyed helping others, and had a love for painting and flower gardening. In October, she moved back to Potsdam to cherish time with her grandchildren and family.

Donna is survived by her sons and their wives, Karson and Johnielle Thomas and Kurt and Kate Thomas, all of Potsdam, her grandchildren, Myla, Kyle, Kollin, and Kinsley; her sisters, Diane Wilson of Kansas; Deetta Wilson of Colorado; and Edith Kester of Kansas; her brother, Edward Scholl, Jr. of Kansas; companion, Bob Connelly of Kansas; her father, Louis of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her step-father, Edward Scholl.

Friends may call at the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam on Thursday, May 16th from 5-7:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association.

I’m so sorry for the loss of this woman. My condolences go out to the Thomas family. There’s a Scripture d love to share that always comforted me when I lost someone close to me in death. It’s in Revelation 21:4 which causes says: “And he [God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither wklll mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” This is a promise from God they he will end death forever in the future and we will see our loved ones again!

I'm very sorry to read about your loss.God's word gives us a hope of Resurrection.God has created the human with a perfect body and with the potential for full expression of the marvelous characteristics implanted in the personality, it would pose no insurmountable problem to resurrect an individual for God.
God's son Jesus gave the comforting assurance to mankind: “The hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who have given heed will live. . . . Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.”​—John 5:25-29.
May the hope of Resurrection promises in God's word give you some comfort and peace in this difficult time.
