LOUISVILLE – Harry T. Zobel, 74, of State Route 37, unexpectedly passed away Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2020 at his home.

Harry was born November 22, 1945 in Brighton, New York, the son of the late Harry F. and Eileen (Taylor) Zobel. He was graduate of Penfield High School and Canton ATC. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1972. On December 29, 1964, he married Glenda J. Burtner at the Webster Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Harry was a potroom electrician at Alcoa for many years. After his retirement, he continued operating his farm and loved spending time outdoors – hunting, fishing and camping were some of his greatest enjoyments. Harry enjoyed spending time with his friends and to those that knew him, knew of his generous spirit.

Harry is survived by his wife, Glenda; his daughters and their husbands, Trudy J. and Eric Hoekstra of Sacramento, CA; Melinda J. and Brian Doyle of Elk Grove, CA; and Julie E. and William Baretsky of Mather, CA; his grandchildren, Keith, Cody, and Joshua Doyle and Alicia Wheeler; and a great grandson, Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Florence Bleier.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services at this time. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of one’s choice.

Harry was a farmer at heart. He hated large gatherings. He loved the outdoors - whether working the farm or camping . He was quiet and easy going. As a brother-in-law he was easy to talk with and joke with and always generous with whatever was needed. Our families never lived close to each other but I recall that the first car I bought as a young teacher was a blue Mustang convertible which Harry coveted and finally bought once I was married and needed a more practical car. That car may still be on the farm. I know his friends will miss his caring and generosity and Glenda and his girls will miss him most of all. As Glenda's sister, I wish we lived closer but Arizona and Massena are far apart. My husband, John, and I send our love from afar.

Uncle Harry, been a while since I have seen you, but do remember the times we all came up in the camper, with Mom & Dad. Dad and the boys would help you work on the farm & the equipment, and sit out in the garage and catch up, and us girls would all be in the House with Aunt Glenda and the girls, cooking and talking and catching up, it was fun. Always remember when you laughed, it was a laugh you just don't forget. Sending all of our Love, Thoughts and Prayers to Aunt Glenda, Trudy, Mindy, Julie and the rest of their families. You will be able to Happy Hour with Mom & Dad !!! R.I.P. Uncle Harry, you will be missed. Roxy, Larry, Melissa, April, and families

I appreciate the time I had with you even though it wasn't much due to living on opposite sides of the country. You always made me feel welcome and even made sure I had a place to sit with you, in your sanctuary (the garage) so I could have a drink with you, and hear stories of your time serving our country. I will cherish the memories of working on your farm equipment together and you showing me how to use it.

You will be missed.

My heart and prayers go out to my wife Melinda, Mom Glenda, and my sisters, Trudy and Julie. I cant imagine being placed in a more perfect family. I love you all very Much
