SR. REGIS – Mary M. Johnson, 76, of 77 Hilltop Drive, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at her home.

She was a communicant of the St. Regis Catholic Church and worked at a custodian for the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, and previously worked at Sesi Buckshot’s Store. Mary always enjoyed playing radio bingo, going to the Casino and especially sitting on her porch talking and visiting with family and friends.

Mary is survived by her children, Timothy “Sam” Johnson, Melissa Johnson, Kimberly Johnson, Kathleen David, and Peter Johnson, all of St. Regis; and Kenneth and Jessica Johnson of Cornwall; her adopted daughter, Kristen (Johnny Big) Johsnon; 14 grandchildren Nolan, Janet, Justin, Racine, Clarise, Eric, Dylan, Tiff, James, Tyson, Chris, Jenson, Janie and Javen; and 12 great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Marcia (Guy) Rowley of Syracuse; Marleen Diabo of St. Regis; Jean (Louis) Jacobs of St. Regis; Norman (Gabby) Diabo of Syracuse; Jerome Diabo of Ontario and James Clark of Montreal.

Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph; two daughters, Sharron M. Johnson, and Bonnie Johnson, and a child in infancy; her brother Kenneth Diabo; and sisters Marjorie Lazore and Elizabeth Mayo; and three grandchildren, Amanda, Ashley and Jeremy.
